Returning this week from November 28 to 30, The Emirates Dubai 7s is the largest and oldest sports and entertainment festival in the Middle East, drawing more than 80,000 people to The Sevens Stadium each year.
What started as a rugby tournament in 1970 has evolved into a three-day celebration packed with invitational competitions in rugby, netball, cricket, padel, and fitness.
And on top if it? Headlining music sets for 2025 include international stars like Tinie Tempah, Sean Paul, Shaggy and FISHER, meaning there’s something for everyone.
With new sustainability efforts rolling out, the Emirates Dubai 7s just keeps getting better every year. In the last 3 years, it has powered a big chunk of the event using 12.4 million kWH of clean energy from its 4,500 solar panels. For 2025, the festival is cutting down its environmental footprint by giving all athletes reusable water bottles, and free water-refill stations will be placed throughout the grounds to cut down on single-use plastic too!

For the golf lovers, The Hero Dubai Desert Classic is the Middle East’s only GEO-certified, longest-running and most iconic golf tournament. Called ‘the Major of the Middle East’, it has welcomed the world’s top players to Emirates Golf Club since 1989, including Tiger Woods and Ernie Els, who delivered some of the sport’s most talked about moments.
The 2026 edition (January 22 to 25) is especially meaningful, marking 20 years since Rory McIlroy’s debut at the event as a 16-year-old amateur in 2006. Now a Grand Slam champion and the event’s most decorated player, he returns in pursuit of a record fifth Dallah Trophy.
But it’s not just about the golf. Each year, the Emirates Golf Club transforms into a social hub for four days. Across the course, guests can explore gourmet hospitality spaces with top-notch dining and craft beverages. There’s also live music, arts and crafts, and pop-up culinary concepts from some of Dubai’s most loved eateries.
Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships

Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships
Since 1993, the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships has turned the city into a buzzing global tennis hotspot, pulling in sell-out crowds and the sport’s biggest superstars to the iconic Dubai Duty Free Tennis Stadium. Now gearing up for 2026, the tournament returns February 15–28 with a powerhouse schedule: a WTA 1000 women’s event followed by the ATP 500 men’s showdown.
Long hailed as one of the sport’s must-see stops— the tournament has earned its reputation for spotlighting both legends and the next wave of tennis greatness. Past champions include Serena and Venus Williams, Martina Hingis, Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer, and Rafael Nadal, and this year’s lineup promises even more star power with World No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, six-time Grand Slam champion Iga Swiatek, and defending Dubai champion Mirra Andreeva all expected to hit the court.
The Dubai World Cup

Bringing the world’s best horses, jockeys, and trainers to Meydan Racecourse, The Dubai World Cup is the crown jewel of global horseracing. The 2026 edition marks the event’s 30th anniversary, a milestone for a race day that has become synonymous with prestige.
Launched in 1996, the event has produced a ton of iconic horse racing moments. From Cigar’s inaugural victory to Thunder Snow’s historic back-to-back wins, there’s a lot to be excited about.
But the racing is only the beginning. The Dubai World Cup is legendary for pushing the limits of live entertainment, routinely setting Guinness World Records with its choreographed drone shows, cutting-edge laser displays, and massive LED-powered finales. Framed by the architectural drama of Meydan’s 80,000-seat grandstand, the whole night feels more like a world expo in motion than a traditional race meet. Even global icons like Elton John, Jennifer Lopez, and Janet Jackson have delivered show-stopping performances to match the spectacle.
Three decades on, it remains the sport’s most dazzling night — and one of Dubai’s ultimate showcases of global sporting excellence.
And so much more
Dubai’s events calendar keeps leveling up, with global showcases like the Dubai Premier Padel P1 tournament drawing 15,000 fans each November and one of the fast-growing T100 triathlon series, the Dubai T100, engaging over 8,000 athletes and residents. Add in wake surfing and SailGP, world-class sailing along the coastline, and it’s clear the emirate has become a playground for elite sport and high-adrenaline adventure.
Sport, health, and fitness are now part of the city’s DNA — especially since the launch of the Dubai Fitness Challenge in 2017. Every November, the world’s first city-wide fitness initiative challenges schools, companies, and communities to commit to 30 minutes of movement for 30 days, with a record 2.7 million people joining in 2024.
Whether you’re into golf, rugby, tennis, or horse racing, Dubai turns every event into something truly special. It’s the kind of place where sports become memories, making Dubai a must-visit sports destination.
