A fan in the stands caught a throwaway pass from Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen and became the star of “Sunday Night Football.”

Play-by-play broadcaster Mike Tirico quickly pivoted from the game on the field to the man’s highlight-reel run up the stairs of Highmark Stadium.

Wearing a souvenir jersey of Bills linebacker Matt Milano, the spectator appeared to abscond with the ball ― mostly a no-no― as he climbed up the soon-to-be-replaced home of the Bills.

“Milano’s gonna go!” Tirico called. “He’s in row 10! He’s in row 15! He might get a beer! Milano, where ya goin’ man? It’s your moment …. He’s gonna take it the distance! Maybe it wasn’t his seat! Maybe he doesn’t wanna be on TV. He’s gone!”

At the end, a flopping white towel can be seen in the fan’s hand where the ball is supposed to be, so it’s not certain he got away with the souvenir.

Whatever the guy’s intent, the Bills could have used his opportunism. They lost to the visiting New England Patriots, 23-20.
