Hudson, 24, filed a trademark application Monday for the term “gold digger” through her company, TCE Rights Management, according to multiple reports.

The former cheerleader has plans to use the trademark for jewelry or keychains, according to documents obtained by People. The application has been submitted but is reportedly awaiting review by an examining attorney.

TCE Rights Management also reportedly filed trademarks in April for multiple other terms, including “Chapel Bill (Bill’s Version),” “No Days Off (Bill’s Version)” and “Belecast” in relation to Belichick’s new venture as the head football coach of the University of North Carolina. Belichick was named head coach in December.

Neither Hudson nor Belichick immediately responded to Huffpost’s requests for comment.

Hudson’s relationship with the legendary former coach of the New England Patriots has been widely scrutinized due to the significant age gap between the pair.

Hudson and Belichick, 73, first began dating in 2023, not long after Belichick ended his 16-year relationship with Linda Holliday. Belichick was previously married to ex-wife Debby Clarke Belichick from 1977–2006.

Hudson and Belichick made headlines in April after a clip of her interrupting and prohibiting a question about how they met during an awkward “CBS Sunday Morning” interview went viral. Belichick was in the midst of promoting his new book.

Belichick defended Hudson following the interview, claiming in a statement to HuffPost that she had “stepped in” to thwart journalist Tony Dokoupil’s question to “help refocus the discussion.”

“I was surprised when unrelated topics were introduced, and I repeatedly expressed to the reporter, Tony Dokoupil, and the producers that I preferred to keep the conversation centered on the book,” Belichick said. “After this occurred several times, Jordon, with whom I share both a personal and professional relationship, stepped in to reiterate that point to help refocus the discussion.”

He added: “She was not deflecting any specific question or topic but simply doing her job to ensure the interview stayed on track.”

Belichick went on to clear up the mystery surrounding how he met Hudson.

“Some of the clips make it appear as though we were avoiding the question of how we met, but we have been open about the fact that Jordon and I met on a flight to Palm Beach in 2021,” he shared.
