Jason Kelce, on Tuesday, called a timeout on comments falsely attributed to him that added to the noise surrounding Bad Bunny headlining the Super Bowl LX halftime show in February.

The former Philadelphia Eagles center took to X to address recent posts tying him to a quote. “If Bad Bunny is a bad fit for the Super Bowl, then maybe the people making these comments are a bad fit for America’s future,” he wrote.

“I normally don’t comment on things like this, but I feel I need to address that there are a number of accounts posting fake quotes and attributing them to me on this platform right now,” wrote Kelce from his verified account on X.

“I appreciate @X putting community notes on several and I will not address the other accounts specifically, because I do not want to amplify their engagement. But please know, unless you hear something directly from me via one of my platforms, it is not real.”

The “fake quotes” come amid conservative outrage that’s seen GOP lawmakers such as House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.) refer to Bad Bunny as a “terrible choice” to headline the halftime show and questioning if the three-time Grammy winner, who’s sold millions of albums, “appeals to a broader audience.”

President Donald Trump, in an interview with Newsmax’s Greg Kelly last week, claimed he didn’t know the Puerto Rican rapper before calling the pick “absolutely ridiculous.”

The Spanish-language artist has looked to steer clear of U.S. stops on his upcoming world tour, citing fears of Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents being outside his shows amid Trump’s immigration crackdown.

Department of Homeland Security adviser Corey Lewandowski has stressed that ICE agents will be posted at the Super Bowl next year.

Bad Bunny, during his opening monologue on “Saturday Night Live” earlier this month, made light of the MAGA world’s outrage over his upcoming halftime show.

“I’m very happy,” he quipped, “and I think everyone is happy about it, even Fox News.”
