The Kansas City native melted down over a critical interception thrown by Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes on Peyton and Eli Manning’s “ManningCast” for “Monday Night Football.”
With the game tied at 14-14, Mahomes tried to throw to receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster near the end zone but Jacksonville linebacker Devin Lloyd picked off the pass and ran it back 99 yards for a touchdown.
“No, no, no, no, not that,” she said. “And he’s still going … nooooo …” she moaned.
She tried to nullify what was happening by waving her hands before placing them on her head in exasperation.
“He ran all the yards,” she said ruefully.
Gardner wouldn’t have been thrilled with what transpired later either. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence scored the game-winning touchdown despite falling down twice on the play.
The Chiefs, who have won two of the last three Super Bowls and made it to the big game last season, are now 2-3.
Gardner has experienced her own career turnabout of late. She and Ego Nwodim were the marquee names among multiple departures from “SNL.” The 51st season just began with several new cast members.

But it looks like her enthusiasm for the Chiefs will not be dimmed.
