One tennis fan didn’t score any points with Polish player Kamil Majchrzak with his actions at the U.S. Open on Thursday night.

Majchrzak was signing autographs after his five-set victory over Russian Karen Khachanov, and handed a hat to a child, only for an adult man to grab it away. Viral video shows the child reaching out in vain as the man turns away and stuffs the prized accessory into a bag.

The incident caused a racket on social media, and soon drew the attention of Majchrzak himself, who wrote in an Instagram Story that he hadn’t noticed what had happened. He then asked fans if they could help him find the child whose gift had been stolen.

On Saturday, he revealed that his efforts had been successful.

“Today after warm up, I had a nice meeting,” he wrote in an Instagram Story, alongside a video of him that showed him presenting the smiling child with a new hat.
