NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers is going viral for an apparent sarcastic life lesson he attempted to impart on a young boy at a celebrity golf tournament this past weekend.

Rodgers was playing in the American Century Championship when a young boy in the audience was caught in a video telling the newly signed Pittsburgh Steeler that he almost hit him with a wayward swing.

“You almost hit me, Aaron Rodgers,” the boy said as Rodgers passed him on the course.

Rodgers responded, “Almost doesn’t count,” while walking to the next hole.

Not surprisingly, Rodgers’ response attracted a lot of social media attention.

A few people defended Rodgers’ actions in the moment by posting a video of him being cordial to kids at the same tournament.

Despite the near miss, Rodgers ended up shooting a 42, enough to be tied for 15th place, PennLive reported.

He wasn’t the only golfer who nearly struck a spectator. Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce also came close to hitting a fan.

In addition, the near miss with the young kid wasn’t the only Rodgers moment from the tournament that made its rounds online.

He also went viral after refusing to sign gear for a man who claimed to be his fan, but couldn’t remember details about a 2005 game between the Green Bay Packers and the New Orleans Saints.
