Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-Ga.) called out President Donald Trump’s decision to insert the United States into the war between Israel and Iran, saying it’s “not our fight.”

“Every time America is on the verge of greatness, we get involved in another foreign war,” Greene, a longtime Trump supporter, wrote on social media Saturday night. “There would not be bombs falling on the people of Israel if Netanyahu had not dropped bombs on the people of Iran first. Israel is a nuclear armed nation. This is not our fight. Peace is the answer.”

Greene’s social media post came right before Trump announced on Truth Social that the United States had completed a “very successful attack” on three nuclear sites in Iran.

“Congratulations to our great American Warriors,” Trump wrote Saturday evening. “There is not another military in the World that could have done this. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE! Thank you for your attention to this matter.”

Vice President JD Vance said Sunday on “Meet The Press” that the U.S. is not at war with Iran, instead the country is at war with Iran’s nuclear program.

“What we did is we destroyed the Iranian nuclear program,” Vance said. “I think we set that program back substantially, and we did it without endangering the lives of the American pilots. That’s an incredible thing, and I think we all should be proud — whatever our politics, we should be proud of what these guys accomplished. A very, very high-impact mission under a lot of pressure.”

Both Vance and Trump have said that the United States will respond if Iran retaliates against the U.S.

Congressional Democrats have questioned the legality of Trump deciding to bomb Iran without Congress’s approval and Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) said Trump’s move is “absolutely and clearly grounds for impeachment.”

Most Republicans have publicly supported Trump’s decision, including House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.). However, Rep. Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) pushed back on social media, writing, “Why didn’t you call us back from vacation to vote on military action if there was a serious threat to our country?”

Trump hit back at Massie, writing on Truth Social that he isn’t MAGA and he is a “negative force.”

“He’s a simple minded ‘grandstander’ who thinks it’s good politics for Iran to have the highest level Nuclear weapon, while at the same time yelling ‘DEATH TO AMERICA’ at every chance they get,” Trump wrote, calling Massie “weak,” a “pathetic loser” and a “lazy, grandstanding, nonproductive politician.”
