Travis Kelce recently addressed a viral video that appeared to show his sister-in-law Kylie Kelce engaged in an argument with someone in an outdoor parking lot.

During an appearance on Monday’s episode of the podcast “Bussin’ with the Boys,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end responded to a question about the clip, saying that his sister-in-law ― who’s married to his brother, retired NFL star Jason Kelce ― has a “don’t fuck with me” toughness about her.

The video in question was filmed over Memorial Day weekend in Margate City, New Jersey, and was later posted on TMZ and shared widely on social media. The clip shows a woman yelling in Kylie Kelce’s face as a man steps between them.

Much of the exchange is difficult to make out, but the woman can at one point be heard telling Kylie: “You’ll never be allowed in this town.”

Kylie, a head varsity high school field hockey coach, responds to the woman as Jason stands several feet away.

“You’re embarrassing yourself,” she tells the woman.

Travis Kelce said in the podcast episode that Kylie and Jason, who share three young daughters, were trying to have a date night on the Jersey Shore when the “entitled” woman apparently approached them and demanded they take a picture with her child.

“It escalated into something that it shouldn’t even have been,” Travis said, before singing the praises of his brother and his sister-in-law.

“Jason and Kylie are the sweetest,” he said. “They’re the nicest people, until you take it to that point.”

Jason and Kylie Kelce have yet to publicly comment on the incident.

Representatives for the “New Heights” podcast, co-hosted by the Kelce brothers, did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

After the video made rounds on the internet, Margate City Mayor Michael Collins issued a public apology to Jason and Kylie, offering them a date-night “redo.”

“On behalf of the City of Margate, I’d like to formally apologize to Jason and Kylie Kelce for the experience they had in Margate City over the holiday weekend,” Collins wrote in a statement shared on Facebook. “As a father with young children, I know as well as anyone the importance of a date night with your wife and would like to offer a redo date night with dinner on me.”

The woman who confronted Kylie has also since apologized for the incident.

In a statement to Philadelphia’s local 6abc News, the woman, who gave her name as Andreé Goldberg, explained that she said things that were “out of character” in a “heated moment.”

“Although I apologized directly to the Kelce family on Saturday, I want to publicly apologize to them, and our community,” Goldberg’s statement read in part. “My anger, and my actions, are not who I am, and certainly not indicative of the welcoming community of Margate.”

“As an adult and proud member of my community, I should have recognized and respected their right to privacy from the onset,” she continued. “I am deeply appreciative of the grace and understanding shown to me by the Kelces and wish them nothing but the best.”
